Welcome to Hulme

Hulme is located within the southern reaches of the parliamentary constituency of Manchester Central. The Manchester City Council electoral ward of Hulme can boast an active Green Party presence.

Hulme has a colourful history social and cultural history. It has been significantly regenerated twice in the past 60 years, and currently houses both the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University within its boundaries.

Map of HulmeNorthern parts of Hulme are sometimes mistaken for Castlefield and southern parts, for Moss Side.

Comprising of open spaces and tower blocks Hulme represents a wide range of constituents and communities with close links to its neighbouring wards. It also contains high levels of social deprivation and child poverty. Key issues we will be designing our policies to address.

As a ward it is full of potential and we need your help with realising our vision to make that  future a Green one.

In the 2015 elections bolstered by a national wave of Green Party support and a surge in membership we had a great result that firmly consolidated our position as the official opposition within the Hulme Ward.

In 2016 we aim to build on that solid base with the aim of gaining a seat on Manchester City Council.
